Fusão Ingressos: Ticketing Giants Merge to Dominate the Live Events Market

A major shift is underway in the global entertainment industry. Today, Fusão Ingressos announced the merger of two of the largest ticketing platforms in Latin America, shaking up the live events landscape and raising antitrust concerns in Brazil and beyond.

The term “fusão ingressos” — literally “ticketing merger” — has been trending on social media following the announcement that BilheteX and EntradaLive will consolidate into a single platform, tentatively named UniTick.

Combined, the two companies handle over 70% of all digital ticket sales in Brazil and nearly 50% across Latin America. The move is being described as a strategic effort to combat rising operational costs and improve customer experience through unified digital infrastructure.

“This merger allows us to provide faster service, better fraud protection, and more exclusive partnerships with artists and venues,” said UniTick spokesperson Carla Mendes.

However, not everyone is celebrating. Consumer rights advocates are urging regulators to investigate the deal, warning that it could lead to higher service fees and fewer choices for event-goers. The Brazilian Competition Authority (CADE) has already scheduled a hearing to assess the implications.

Still, industry insiders believe fusão ingressos marks a new era of consolidation in the entertainment sector, driven by digital transformation and post-pandemic recovery.

As one concert promoter put it, “If you want to survive in this market, you either scale up—or get left behind.”
